How to make carrot khichdi?

As mentioned earlier, Khichdi defines comfort. The recipe includes rice, lentils, carrots and spices. This recipe has been shared by Chef Anahita Dhondy on her Instagram handle. ,Dal Khichdi is synonymous with a comfort bowl. I know this is the simplest recipe which is made in every household – but I had to share my version of Dal Khichdi which I eat when I want to feel light and not just when I am not feeling well but every time I want to have something relaxing and homely,” she said.

Ingredients for making Carrot Khichdi:
To make this, we need carrot, moong dal, rice, water, salt and turmeric. Then, you need some ghee, asafoetida, cumin seeds and red chilies for the tempering.

Method for making Carrot Khichdi:
firstly, in a pressure cooker put dal, rice and grated carrot. Add salt and turmeric to it and fry for some time. Cook it in a pressure cooker with water for 15 to 20 minutes. After cooking, apply tempering of ghee, asafoetida, cumin and red chili. That’s it. You have a delicious bowl of carrot khichdi ready to relish.
