Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad
The Gujarat Vidyapeeth in Ahmedabad was established by Mahatma Gandhi himself on October 18, 1029. The university offers a full-time two-year master’s degree in Gandhian studies that explores aspects of Gandhi’s life and teachings.
Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi
This university in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh offers two postgraduate courses on Gandhi. The first is a full-time MA in Gandhian Philosophy and the second is an MA in Gandhian Studies.
Panjab University, Chandigarh
The Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies at Panjab University offers an MA degree in the subject. There are a total of 40 seats for master’s course apart from two reserved for NRIs and two reserved for foreign nationals. Interested candidates can further M.Phil. and PhD in Gandhian and Peace Studies
Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala
Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala offers MA in Gandhian Studies as well as MPhil in the subject. The School of Gandhian Thought and Development Studies in this university offers Master in Development Studies, MPhil and PhD in the subject.
