A glimpse of the upcoming dark comedy film Gandhi talks Unveiled by the makers on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Sunday. The silent film is directed by Marathi director Kishore Pandurang Belekar, and stars Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swamy, Siddharth Jadhav and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.

The Jhalak video shows the four major characters in the story who fight or deal with the role of our Indian currency notes. For example, we see that Vijay’s character charges a drumming monkey toy using currency notes, and the toy is placed next to three wise monkey dolls, symbolizing the lifestyle that has been followed. Gandhi famously adopted and told. Frames highlighting the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi on currency notes and a remixed instrumental version of Raghupati Raghav playing in the background all point to a strong social commentary that awaits us.

With music by AR Rahman, Gandhi talks Ready to release in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is a silent film with only non-verbal communication.

Produced by Zee Studios, and co-produced by Curious Digital Pvt. Ltd and Movie Mill Entertainment, the film is slated for a worldwide release in 2023.
