Ganadhip Sankashti Chaturthi is a religious day celebrated by Hindus. The day is dedicated to worship Lord Ganesha, and people observe a strict fast and worship the Lord, who is known as the remover of all obstacles. Every month, Sankashti Chaturthi falls on the Chaturthi (Chaturthi Tithi) of Krishna Paksha. Ganadhip Sankashti Chaturthi 2022: Significance

Lord Ganesha, also known as Pratham Pujya, is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is the most revered of all the gods. Lord Ganapati is always worshiped along with Goddess Lakshmi before performing any rituals like Puja, Yagya, Havan or any other religious ceremony.

On this auspicious day of Sankashti Chaturthi, devotees worship the Mahaganapati form of Lord Ganapati and Shiva Peetha. It is believed that devotees who fast on this day every month are blessed with auspiciousness, happiness and prosperity and Lord Ganesha protects them from all obstacles in life.

Ganadhip Sankashti Chaturthi 2022: Worship Method

Devotees should wake up early in the morning, take a holy bath and wear clean clothes.

Place an idol of Lord Ganesha and give it a holy bath with panchamrit (milk, curd, sugar, honey and ghee).

Light a lamp, apply kumkum tilak and offer sweets (laddoos and modaks) and yellow vermilion to Lord Ganesha.

Devotees should remember to bring Durva Grass (Green Grass), the favorite herb of the Lord, to be offered to the Lord.

Devotees should recite Binduk Katha (Lord Ganesha story) and perform aarti of the Lord.

People should go to the temple and offer laddoos and modaks to Lord Ganesha.

People should offer Bhog Prasad to Lord Ganesha before giving it to someone else.

After offering bhog offerings to Lord Ganesha, devotees should offer water (arghya) to the moon before breaking their Sankashti fast.

After distributing Bhog Prasad to all the family members, you can break your fast.
