The police have so far rescued five minor girls in the last four days.
Police said on Tuesday that following the instructions of the District Child Welfare Committee, all the rescued girls have been reunited with their parents. After preliminary investigation, the police said that the girls have dropped out of school and left home due to domestic problems.
Four of the five girls have been rescued from their relatives’ house, while one was found from a shop in Cuttack. Police said the girls are between 14 and 17 years old.
“Investigation is on to find out if anyone is involved in such cases,” a police officer said.
