Garmin: Garmin unveils Smart Scale Index S2 with Wi-Fi connectivity and weight trend graph in India – Times of India

US based Garmin A smart scale has been launched as a new connected wellness tool for fitness enthusiasts and athletes. The device is named Index S2 and is equipped with several health measurement features such as weight, body fat percentage, body mass index (BMI), body water percentage, bone mass and skeletal muscle ratio. The body fat percentage index shows the percentage of stored and essential fat. It comes with Weight Trend Graph feature which records the change in weight over a long period of time and has a color display. It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and claims to display the total biometric data of the user. The device can also be connected to the Garmin Connect app to track changes in your body weight and many other health data.

This smart scale from Garmin is available at a price of Rs 15,999 and will be available in two color options – White and Black. You can order the device through Garmin’s online store or through Synergizer, the company’s authorized distributor, or you can buy it through other e-commerce websites like Amazon, Tata Cliq and Flipkart.

The Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale comes with a color display and the on-display widget displays a line graph showing the last 30 days of weight readings. The device supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and is also compatible with ANT.
This smart scale has a weight limit of 181.4-kilograms and provides data about body water percentage, body mass index, bone mass and skeletal muscle ratio. It keeps the user regularly updated about the day to day weight variations.
The device weighs around 2kg and the retail box includes four AAA batteries to keep it powered. Garmin claims that this smart scale will give about 40 weeks of battery life.
