Uncertainty about conduct, with continued rise in COVID-19 cases Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 is on the rise. Since the GATE admit card has been postponed twice, many candidates are worried whether it will indicate the postponement of the exam. Till now there is no official update regarding the exam. Embarrassed by this uncertainty, candidates across the country took to Twitter to address the administration body, I. asked to askIndian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, for decision on GATE 2022 exam.
Raising their concerns about the rising number of cases, some candidates have sought to postpone the exam, many have asked the institute to reopen the application window to allow them to change the GATE 2022 exam cities.

As per GATE Exam Date 2022, the tests are scheduled to start from February 5, 2022 and end on February 13, 2022. However, scribe selection, examination center preparation including cleanliness and other activities will start from February 4, 2022.

IIT Kharagpur director Professor Virendra Kumar Tiwari said earlier this week that the institute is reviewing the situation and a decision on the GATE exam will be taken soon. “We are in consultation with our members associated with the GATE exam, and the administration, in constant touch with the authorities, will take a decision on whether to conduct or postpone the GATE exam soon. The candidates are advised to only follow the official website-gate.iitkgp.ac.in regarding exam dates, hall tickets,” said the director, as reported by NDTV.
