To adjourn after the Supreme Court’s refusal Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022, the exam is being conducted by IIT Kharagpur as per the schedule. From today (February 5) GATE 2022 will be conducted on February 6, 12 and 13 in two slots, 9 am to 12 noon and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. IIT Kharagpur has already released the GATE 2022 admit card and a list of guidelines on the day of the exam that need to be followed during the exam.
If you are appearing for GATE 2022, here are the guidelines that you are expected to follow for the smooth conduct of the exam.
reporting time: Candidates are advised to report at the examination center at least 90 minutes before the start time to avoid overcrowding or last minute panic. Candidates have to log in to their prescribed system 30 minutes before the exam time.
must carry: No candidate will be allowed to appear in GATE 2022 without a valid admit card in printed form. Admit should be printed on A4 sheet. Candidates need to carry the original Identity Card used for registration for GATE 2022.
COVID-19 Guidelines: Candidates with a body temperature of more than 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit must take the test in an isolation area at the exam center. Candidates are expected to follow the sequence of queues and floor marks while entering the examination centre.
Prohibited Items: Nothing will be allowed in the examination hall except for masks, gloves, sanitizers, pen or pencil, transparent water bottle, documents related to the examination such as admit card and ID card. A virtual scientific calculator will be provided to all the candidates. Use of any personal electronic device (mobile or smartwatch or physical calculator) is prohibited. Need to follow all necessary COVID-19 guidelines like wearing of mask and maintaining social distance during exam
In case of delay, no extra time will be given to complete the paper. Candidates will drop the scribble pad in Dropbox while leaving the exam center
GATE 2022 score will be considered for admission to postgraduate courses in various IITs and IISc. Additionally, GATE scores are also used for recruitment in PSUs.
