German institute ties up with PAMA

The German Archaeological Institute and PAMA – Institute for the Advancement of Trans-disciplinary Archaeological Science have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate exchanges and joint initiatives in research, cultural heritage management and capacity building.

The objectives of the MoU include academic collaboration on PAMA’s Project Putnam Archaeological Site and contemporary sites in the Indian Ocean, China Sea and the Mediterranean. The preparation and implementation of archaeological research, including surveys and archaeological excavations, and the training of staff and students in the field of archeology are other objectives.

The present MOU may be supplemented by separate agreements in specific academic fields to be ratified by the legal representatives of the parties.
