GoFirst extends flight cancellation period till June 12

New Delhi [India]June 8 (ANI): Beleaguered airline, GoFirst, on Thursday announced that its scheduled flight operations will remain canceled till June 12, adding that full refunds will be issued to passengers. Earlier it was to be held till June 9.

“We recognize that flight cancellations may disrupt your travel plans and we are committed to providing all possible assistance,” GoFirst said in a tweet.

The airline operator had filed for voluntary bankruptcy in early May and since then its operations were at a standstill.

Civil aviation regulator DGCA had advised the airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring or revival plan within a period of 30 days. The revival plan once submitted by GoFirst will be reviewed by the regulator for further appropriate action in the matter. (ANI)
