London:

Meghan, the wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, on Saturday criticized British media reports that an exchange of letters with King Charles played a role in her decision not to attend his coronation, press His latest confrontation with.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Meghan wrote to the now-defunct King to express her concerns about unconscious bias in the Royal Family. It said the letter was sent following his 2021 comments in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that the family had raised concerns about how dark their son’s skin would be.

It reported that the Duchess of Sussex did not feel she had received satisfactory answers to her concerns.

A spokeswoman for Meghan said, “The Duchess of Sussex is currently thinking about her life, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago relating to conversations four years ago.”

“Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage the tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the tiresome circus they are single-handedly creating.”

Prince Harry will attend the coronation next month without Meghan, who will remain in California with the couple’s two young children. Their eldest, Archie, turns four in a day.

Harry and Meghan stepped down from royal duties in March 2020, saying they wanted to build a new life in the United States, away from media harassment.
