Gold dropped ₹199; Silver Broken ₹250

According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 199 to Rs 46,389 per 10 grams in the national capital on August 30 amid a firming rupee coupled with fall in global precious metal prices.

The precious metal had closed at ₹ 46,588 per 10 grams in the previous trade.

Silver too fell by ₹250 to ₹62,063 per kg from ₹62,313 per kg in the previous trade.

Tracking a positive trend in domestic equities, the Indian rupee rose 31 paise to 73.38 against the US dollar in early trade on August 30.

In the international market, gold was trading at $ 1,814 an ounce and silver was flat at $ 23.99 an ounce.
