Gold fell ₹ 160; Silver rose by Rs 650

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices fell by Rs 160 to Rs 62,040 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid a fall in the international precious metal prices.

In the previous trade, the yellow metal had closed at Rs 62,200 per 10 grams.

Silver, however, climbed Rs 650 to Rs 77,950 per kg.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst – Commodities, Saumil Gandhi said, “Gold prices are trading at Rs 62,040 per 10 grams, up Rs 160 per 10 grams in Delhi markets.”

In the overseas market, gold was trading lower at $2,040 an ounce and silver was trading higher at $25.88 an ounce.

Gold prices declined in Asian trading hours on Friday.
