Gold fell by ₹125; Silver Tank ₹339

Gold prices fell by ₹125 to ₹47,837 per 10 grams; Silver also declined by ₹ 339 to ₹ 61,477 per kg.

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices fell by Rs 125 to Rs 47,837 per 10 grams in the local market in New Delhi on Wednesday in line with lower global prices.

In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at ₹47,962 per 10 grams.

Silver also declined by ₹339 to ₹61,477 per kg from ₹61,816 per kg in the previous trade.

In the international market, gold was trading at $ 1,799 an ounce and silver was flat at $ 22.67 an ounce.

On Wednesday, gold prices traded weak with spot gold trading at $1,799 an ounce at COMEX. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said after the US FOMC meeting, market players looking for fresh cues traded with gold trading below $1,800 an ounce.
