Gold fell by ₹372; Silver falls by ₹799

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices fell by Rs 372 to Rs 50,139 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid a fall in the yellow metal prices in the international market.

In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at ₹50,511 per 10 grams.

Silver also declined to ₹56,089 per kg from ₹799 to ₹56,888 per kg.

In the international market, gold was trading red at $ 1,621.25 an ounce while silver was trading at $ 18.41 an ounce.

“Comex spot gold is on the way for a second weekly decline, with prices near their lowest level since April 2020 as the dollar strengthens and holdings in an ETF-extended decline,” said Dilip Parmar, Research Analyst, HDFC Securities.
