Gold gains ₹24; Silver falls by ₹222

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices rose by Rs 24 to Rs 49,766 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday.

In contrast, silver fell by Rs 222 to Rs 57,192 per kg from Rs 57,414 per kg in the previous trade.

In the international market, gold was trading at $ 1,669 an ounce and silver was flat at $ 19.27 an ounce.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “Spot gold was trading 0.43% lower at $1,669 an ounce in COMEX. Gold prices declined ahead of the US FOMC meeting.”
