Gold prices fall today, ₹ 10,000 down from record high, silver climbs

Ahead of the Fed rate decision, gold prices fell in the Indian markets today. Gold futures on MCX were slightly lower 46,633 per 10 grams while silver rates rose 0.7%. In the previous session, gold had gained 0.7 per cent and silver by 1.2 per cent.

In global markets, gold rates were flat today ahead of the US Fed’s policy decision. Uncertainties arising out of China Evergrande’s debt crisis also supported gold at lower levels. Spot gold was flat at $1,775.63 an ounce.
