Golden: Devotees celebrated ‘Hola Mohalla’ at Golden Temple in Amritsar. Amritsar News – Times of India

Amritsar: Beginning of three-day long Sikh festival, ‘Hola Mohalla’ or Warrior Holi Gold in the temple Amritsar on Saturday.
On the occasion of Hola Mohalla, thousands of devotees reached the Golden Temple to seek blessings and also took a holy dip in the ‘Sarovar’.
Celebrated at Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, Hola Mohalla is a big celebration for Sikhs around the world.
The festivities mainly include performances of martial arts, horse riding and poetry readings to pay tribute to the bravery of the Sikh warriors. Later the festival is followed by dance, music and a sprinkling of colours.
On this day at Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar, devotees pay obeisance with their families, listen to Gurbani, take a dip in holy water and seek Guru Sahib’s blessings.
On the occasion of Holi, people from all over the country come to offer prayers at the Golden Temple, the center of faith and spirituality.
