Google Maps Street View is coming to these cities in India – Times of India

After a long wait, Google bringing back Street View to India. After its closure in the country in 2016, Street View is heading to India in partnership with? Genesis International And Tech Mahindra, So, now, people in India will also be able to virtually explore destinations across the country from the comfort of their homes.
For now Street View is available in these 10 cities in India
Starting today, Street View is available in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Vadodara, Ahmednagar and Amritsar. Google says that Street View in India covers a distance of over 150,000 km in these ten cities in India. Google and its partners plan to expand Street View to more than 50 cities in India by the end of this year.
“Over the past 14 years we have innovated to bring useful, local and high-quality experiences to people across the country. We believe that the launch of Street View in India will range from virtual visiting locations to local businesses and businesses. This launch has been made possible only in collaboration with our local partners Tech Mahindra and Genesis International,” said Miriam Karthika Daniels, VP Google Map Experience.
Here’s How to Use Street View in India
Street View is very easy to use. All you have to do is open Google Maps. Then search for an area, or tap the area you want to explore. Now, you’ll find an icon at the bottom, tap it and you’ll be in Street View. Now, you can explore the surroundings in 360-degrees directly from your device. So, if you’re in any of these 10 cities, you can start exploring your city or other cities with Street View.
