Google is offering scholarships to women pursuing or aiming to pursue a career in computer science. The application process for this scholarship is open to women from Asia-Pacific, therefore, Indian students can also apply.
The Generation Google Scholarship for Women in Computer Science helps students pursue a computer science degree in technology. Selected students will receive a scholarship of $1000 (Rs.74191.35) for the 2022-2023 school year.

Scholarships will be awarded to students based on each candidate’s commitment to innovation, equity, diversity, inclusion and academic performance. The last date to apply for the internship program is before December 10, 2021.
Google Scholarship: Who Can Apply?
Eligibility Criteria to avail Generation Google Scholarship Program –
– Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree for academic career – 2021-2022.
Applicants must be a second year student at a recognized university in an Asia-Pacific country.
Candidate must be enrolled in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Apart from a strong academic record, they should also have leadership qualities.
Google Scholarship: Required Documents
– Resume/CV highlighting the technical projects the candidate has been a part of and also their involvement in community engagement initiatives.
Academic transcripts from current or (if any) former institutions.
Candidates will also have to submit two 400 words essay. Essays are to be written in English.
These essays will assess the candidate’s commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and financial need. There are two topics:
What is a significant challenge facing women in the tech industry and how do you see yourself as part of the solution to this challenge? Remember that impact can occur in many ways and on different scales.
How will getting this scholarship affect your education? Describe any circumstances affecting your need for the scholarship and what educational goals this scholarship will enable you to accomplish.
The amount of the scholarship is to be spent on fees, tuition, books, equipment, supplies required for classes in the primary university. Verification of nomination will be done after the selection of the candidates. All scholarship payments will be made directly to the selected student.
The Company is in full power to withdraw the scholarship of any Scholar who no longer meets the eligibility requirements or who fails to maintain the eligibility requirements.
Selected recipients will receive instructions from the tech giant on how to receive the award. If someone fails to complete the stages by the specified time limit he/she will be considered ineligible, hence they will not get any prize.
Google employees cannot apply for the Google Scholarship.
