While preparing for grueling events like Mumbai Marathon 2023, many athletes swear by Apple Watch, and thus it is helping them stay on track and achieve fitness goals.

The Apple Watch has consistently proven itself as a reliable and accurate device for tracking workouts and helping athletes prepare for challenging events like marathons. It offers a variety of features that meet users’ fitness needs, from basic metrics like steps taken and calories burned to more advanced features like activity trends and heart rate monitoring.

The Apple Watch Series 8, with watchOS 9, introduces new visualization tools and refined running analytics directly into the Workout app. Performance, too, is enhanced by effective training tools including heart rate zones, race routes, pacers and custom workouts.

Apart from its fitness tracking features, the device is also equipped with several health and safety features that provide peace of mind to the users. One such feature is the ECG, which can detect abnormal heart rhythms and alert users to potential issues. Another key feature is fall detection, which can detect when a user has fallen and automatically sends an alert to the user’s emergency contacts.

Now, athletes like Swati Mukund swear by the Apple Watch to prepare for grueling events like the 2023 Mumbai Marathon. “My Tata Mumbai Half Marathon training has been a dream with the Apple Watch Series 8. I’m tracking my race pace, my long distance running, and strength and weight training workouts on a weekly basis,” said Swati Mukund.

She claims that split-wise analysis, together with pace, heart rate zones and cadence, is an integral part in her fitness routine. He also added that “the thrill of closing the rings is fulfilling.”

She notes that one of the most attractive features of the Apple Watch for many users is the ability to stay connected to their phone without physically carrying it with them. This is especially useful for individuals who use music as an integral part of their workout routine.

The TATA Mumbai Marathon is set to take place on Sunday, January 15, with over 55,000 runners expected to take part in the long-awaited event, which is making a comeback after a gap of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
