‘Govt should allot a permanent JEE center to Goa’. Goa News – Times of India

Panaji: Curtorim MLA Alexo reginaldo lourenco Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Minister have been requested Pramod Sawant To allot a permanent center for conducting Joint Entrance Examination (Main) at Goa for admission in one of the reputed Indian Institutes of Technology.
This, he said, will allow the students of Goa to answer the exam without facing the difficulties of traveling outside the state. He highlighted the recent case of Goa students who had to go to Sawantwadi, Maharashtra to answer session 2 JEE (main) 2022.
“It is given to understand that there is 50% reservation for the students of Goa NIT Goa, But this year, no center was allotted to Goa, due to which more than 1,000 students had to move out of Goa for the same.” He added that the travel affects the mental state of students who are already answering an exam.
