Govt to train 2,500 street food vendors to make them eligible for e-cart licenses

In an effort to formalize the unorganized sector and improve street food vendors, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) on Tuesday announced to skill street food vendors of East Delhi and make them eligible for e-cart licenses. The objective of this program is to impart relevant skills to the street food vendors, provide better services to the consumers, provide more opportunities for revenue generation to the vendors, create awareness about the rules and regulations laid down by the local bodies in return for providing better services.
