Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon-2022 from August 25 – Times of India

Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management From August 25, Smart India will host the fifth edition of the Grand Finale of the national level software edition of the Hackathon (SIH).
According to the organisers, it is a 36-hour hackathon and the college has been selected as a nodal center out of 75 colleges across India. “A total of 25 teams from across India will participate and provide solutions to the problem statements listed by them” Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, in the areas of agriculture, food technology and rural development. A total of nine problems have been listed for the hackathon,” said Manjappa Sarathi, director of research and consultancy, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management. He was addressing journalists on Tuesday to give information about the program.
SIH-2022 being organized as part of nectar festival of freedom Celebrations by Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Around 200 students from 25 teams from different colleges are participating in the grand finale. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to interact with the participants on August 25.
SIH is a nationwide initiative to provide a platform to the students to solve the problems of Government, Ministries, Departments, Industries and other organizations. SIH has been acclaimed as the world’s largest open innovation model and fosters a culture of product innovation and problem-solving among students.
