Greece imposes new restrictions without vaccination as Covid cases rise

COVID-19 infections in Greece hit a new daily high nearly every day in November, prompting authorities to announce new measures on Tuesday that will limit access to cafes and restaurants, state services and banks. Prohibits those who have either been vaccinated or have a negative test. .

As part of the new measures, all non-vaccinated workers must also test negative twice a week. Most illiterate people in Greece are now required to submit a negative test once a week to go to their workplace.

According to the latest figures, around 60.5% of the population of around 11 million have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Health Minister Thanos Palevaris said Greece would soon send letters and text messages as part of a new campaign to boost the vaccination campaign.
