Rajkot: A habitual criminal from Junagadh has been arrested last week for breaking into the house of a doctor in Rajkot and stealing cash, jewelery and foreign currency worth Rs 12.56 lakh. Police have also recovered the looted cash and other items.

Rajkot police has arrested Iqbal Theba, resident of Junagadh and his partner in the crime, resident of Rajkot. Nitin Still to be arrested. The accused had confessed to breaking into about 21 houses in Junagadh and Rajkot during police interrogation.

The police examined CCTV footage of various showrooms and shops and cameras installed on the roads as part of the Eyeway Project. both of them were being tracked Gondal Quartet, kotharia crossing and in Sitaram Society.
The police did not see their face, but saw the faces of both, on the basis of which the police started a search of people with such face in Sitaram society and activated their informers in the area.
Police was searching for the accused in civil dress in the area when they found a man of the same face and they kept on chasing him for a kilometer. The police officers also found his movement suspicious and during interrogation he confessed to his crime.
