Haj House fire, no one injured

A fire was reported on Monday evening on the fourth floor of Urdu Academy at Haj House in Nampally. Fire service officials confirmed that no one was injured but some documentary papers and furniture were burnt.

Officials said a distress call was received at 6.38 pm, following which a fire engine was rushed to the spot and another at 6.53 pm as the fire intensified. “After an hour, the fire was doused. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and the damage to the property will be assessed by the management.

Advisor to the Government for Minority Affairs AK Khan and other senior officials of the Minority Welfare Department reached the Haj House. Mr. Khan said that an inquiry would be conducted and the damage would be assessed.
