Halal and shock: Muslims, Hindus can follow their traditions, says Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa. Mangaluru News – Times of India

Udupi: Karnataka Minister For Rural Development and Panchayat Raj KS Eshwarappa On Sunday alleged that there was a dispute regarding the consumption of Halal And ‘Shock:‘ Meat was a fabricated controversy, with vested political interests fueling the crisis.
“In the end, it is the people of Karnataka who are bearing the brunt,” the minister lamented.
Eshwarappa, who was in the coastal district of Udupi Said on Sunday that people are free to follow the customs and customs of their respective religion.
“Let it happen Muslims Follow the Halal custom, while Hindus consume jerky meat. What’s confusing about it? Neither can Muslims force me to follow their customs, nor can I force them to follow mine. This is part of a conspiracy to divide the society.
The senior BJP leader said he was not interested in giving a political color to the controversy.
“When we campaign, there is a lot of room for politics. We can go to the people, and tell us what we have done. Who was it that created controversy over the hijab? Congress should answer. In Udupi college out of 96 Muslim girls, only six demanded the right to wear the hijab. The entire state would have remained calm otherwise. Did the Congress condemn the killing of Bajrang Dal worker Harsh,” Eshwarappa asked?
Accusing the Congress, which he claimed no longer has a pan-India presence, is using the ongoing controversy over the hijab, the national flag and halal for political purposes. Pointing out that the Congress continued to follow the policy of appeasement where Muslims were concerned, Eshwarappa said, “We belong to Hindutva from the moment of our birth. However, we are not against Muslims. We want the country’s independence. We respect all the Muslim leaders and nationalists involved in the fight. But we will not spare the people who live here and raise slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.”
Eshwarappa expressed hope of getting justice after the National Investigation Agency probed Harsha’s murder. However, the minister was not concerned about the impact of inflation on the economy. “Several countries across the world are witnessing an increase in the prices of petrol and other essential commodities. The central government will take necessary steps to tackle inflation in India.”
On the Congress setting a target of winning 150 seats in the next year’s assembly elections, Eshwarappa said, “In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress got just one seat, while the BJP got 25. We later won the by-elections to the assembly seats as well. We have been winning because Congress politics is limited to rhetoric, whereas we believe in achievement. BJP will win 150 seats in the assembly elections, and will win all 28 Lok Sabha seats in the general election in 2024. ”
