Hang me the day you find my involvement in corruption worth a penny: Arvind Kejriwal appeals to PM Modi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday challenged the central probe agencies to find evidence of “one paisa” corruption against him. He challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Hang me in public.”

“He put the CBI, ED, Income Tax and police after me. Why? There is only one objective which is to prove by any means that ‘Kejriwal is a thief’ and to prove that he is involved in corruption.

Kejriwal was speaking after dedicating 80 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ to the people of Punjab at a function here.

Kejriwal said that now a total of 580 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ have become operational in the state to provide free and quality health services to the people.

The AAP supremo was questioned by the CBI on April 16 in connection with Delhi’s now-defunct excise policy, with his former deputy Manish Sisodia already in jail. The agency had summoned Kejriwal as a witness.

The Delhi CM said, ‘I want to say to Modi ji, ‘Prime Minister, if Kejriwal is corrupt, then there is no one honest in this world. I want to tell you that the day you find one paisa corruption against Kejriwal, hang me publicly.” But stop this ‘daily gimmick and tamasha’,” Kejriwal said.

He said AAP leaders Sisodia and Satyendar Jain were arrested not because they were involved in corruption, but because “(BJP’s) aim was to stop their good work”.

Kejriwal said, “It is no coincidence that our health minister and education minister have gone to jail. The AAP government has done a lot of good work in health and education.” Kejriwal said, “The issue is not of corruption, but of preventing AAP from doing good work and implicating them (in cases).”

He said that the house of Satyendar Jain, who was the brain behind the ‘Mohalla Clinic’ (which is a common man clinic in Punjab) in Delhi, was raided thrice, “but not a penny was found there”.

He said Manish Sisodia’s premises were raided and it was alleged that he embezzled Rs 100 crore. If this were so, would the agencies not get one crore or two crore or one or two lakh rupees from his house also? CBI, ED raids took place, but not a single penny was found. Where did this money go?” he asked. “Only a rattle (toy) was found from Sisodia’s bank locker.” He said AAP’s rivals are “scared” that a “small party” has formed governments in Delhi and Punjab. formed and became a national party in a short span of 10 years. “So, they are feeling scared. All of them conspired that somehow AAP and its works should be stopped. To build such good schools all over the country Do it,” he said.

He said that he is not worried about the country but about the power. “Their aim is to eliminate anyone who does a good job.” He also congratulated the AAP government in Punjab, especially Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, for its handling of the Amritpal Singh case and the recent arrest of the radical preacher.

“The entire episode was handled with maturity and without a single bullet being fired or a drop of blood being shed. I would also like to congratulate the Punjab Police for this.”

He said that peace is prevailing in Punjab and law and order is so good now that the people of the state have never seen it before.

He also hit out at the BJP over the Manipur violence, claiming that those who “used to make fun of us before last year’s elections, saying you were not capable of handling a border state like Punjab, are unable to handle Manipur today”. Are”.

“Today, we have handled the border state, but they are unable to handle Manipur. And when Manipur is burning, they are holding election rallies in Karnataka. went to jail They get so much money from their leaders..but nothing happens.”

He alleged that the BJP government in Karnataka is corrupt.

In Punjab, Kejriwal said that after coming to power he had wiped out different types of mafias such as “bus mafia, sand mafia”. “We came down heavily on corruption.” “Our opponents used to ask us where the money would come from (for various schemes). There was money, but what was lacking was honesty and good intentions. Now, an honest government has come to power,” he said.

He further said that the government revenue is increasing as the leakages have been plugged.
