Haryana: 18% increase in tax collection of Excise and Taxation Department, says Dushyant Chautala. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: The Haryana The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 8,455 crore more for the state exchequer as compared to the previous year, resulting in an increase of 18.32% over the previous year. Dushyant Chautala on Friday.
He said that VAT and Central Sales Tax deduction has also seen a massive increase of 27.53%, while State GST has increased by 16% and Excise duty collection has increased by 17%.
According to the data released by the department, the total collection of the department has increased from Rs 46,151 crore in the year 2020-21 to Rs 54,606 crore in the year 2021-22 by the end of the financial year 2021-22, which is a clear increase of 18.32%.
Similarly, VAT and CST collection has increased from Rs 8,852 crore to Rs 11,289 crore in the year 2020-21, thus registering a massive increase of 27.53 per cent.
At the same time, the total collection of SGST has increased from Rs 30,507 crore to Rs 35,385 crore this year as compared to the previous financial year, which is an increase of about 16 per cent. Excise tax collection has also increased by a whopping 17 per cent to Rs 7,931 crore from Rs 6,792 crore.
