Due to the persistent heat wave, local media reports have been cited as saying that the Haryana Board may decide on summer vacation and close the schools soon.
Haryana Education Board Will decide soon when the summer vacations will be approved for the students. Due to the heat waves this year, many states of India have already decided the schedule of summer vacations. States like Maharashtra have closed schools since mid-April. Due to the persistent heat wave-like situation, local media reports have been cited as saying that the Haryana board may decide on the summer vacation soon.
There is also a possibility in the media reports that the officers may start summer vacations from the month of May. However, there is no official confirmation on this. Haryana Board students are eagerly waiting for the announcement by the officials. Last year, the Haryana Board had scheduled summer vacations from June 1 to June 30. Looking at the past trends, it can be said that this year also schools in Haryana will remain closed for 30 days.
However, till now the Haryana Directorate of School Education has not announced the date of summer vacations for government and private schools. Some media reports have also said that due to the continuous heatwave conditions in the state, schools may be closed early. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Board has also announced summer vacations. Which will start from 20 May. The summer vacation in educational institutions affiliated to the UP Board will continue till June 15.
Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra has started summer vacation for students from April 21, 2023. The decision has been taken in view of the heat waves in the financial capital of India. Schools in Maharashtra except Vidarbha will open on June 15, 2023. The decision further states that schools in Vidarbha district will resume for students on June 30.
Jharkhand’s summer vacation will be from May 21 to June 10. The upcoming academic year 2023-24 is going to start from 12th June. While the session is not running in the schools of Madhya Pradesh from May to June 15. The academic session will start from June 16. The summer vacations in Odisha will begin from May 5 and end on June 18.
