Haryana government cancels class 5 and 8 board exams, postponed to next session

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that there will be no board exams for class 5 and 8 this year. The board exams for these classes will be held from the next session. The respective schools will give the exam. The government had earlier announced that the examinations would be conducted from this year but now it has been postponed.

The decision to hold board exams for classes 5 and 8 came as the state cabinet, on January 18, passed amendments to the Haryana Children’s Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011. The order issued included all government and private schools in Gurgaon and Faridabad in Haryana and NCR cities.
