Bengaluru:

Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday apologized for using profanity while referring to Congress MLA and former speaker of the state assembly KR Ramesh Kumar.

Mr Kumaraswamy’s apology came after his video went viral during a private conversation.

“The word I have used for former speaker Ramesh Kumar also hurts me. Using that word is neither my nature nor it is my personality. If my word hurts Ramesh Kumar or anyone else I am sorry if you have reached. I take back my words. the JD(S) deputy commander said in a tweet.

The JD(S) leader had earlier inspected a government school at Srinivaspur in Kolar district, which represents Mr Kumar’s constituency.

Describing the circumstances, Kumaraswamy tweeted, “Yesterday, I was very sad to see a dilapidated school in Bangawadi village of Srinivasapur assembly constituency. I was very angry to hear that children were attending classes under a ‘peepal’ tree.” Were participating. Last two three years.”

The former Chief Minister said that he used abusive words in anger but he did not intend to insult anyone.

Kumaraswamy said, “I want to make it clear that the tears in the eyes of the children were the reason for my anger.”
