A video is going viral on social media, showing a man’s unlikely friendship with a stork. Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Awanish Sharan shared the short clip on Twitter on Friday. It showed a sarus crane chasing a man riding a two-wheeler.

“Arif saved the life of an injured bird last year. The two have been friends ever since,” Mr Sharan wrote in the caption in Hindi. He shared the video just a few hours ago and since then it has collected over 187,000 views and over 13,000 likes.

In the clip, a man identified as Arif can be seen riding his scooter while being chased by the bird. He drives through various roads in the area, from roads covered with crops to other populated areas. The stork, on the other hand, does not waver even for a second and flies and closely follows its friend when he travels on the road.

Internet users were struck by the special bond between the bird and man. A user wrote, “True love and compassion of the highest order..long live this friendship.” “Love knows no bounds,” said another.
