Heartbreaking video shows Ukrainian rescuer proposing to girlfriend amid sirens sound

The internet is awash with heart-wrenching scenes of war-torn Ukraine. However, even in such dark times there are moments that lighten up one’s mood. One such heart-wrenching video is now going viral online, in which a Ukrainian emergency rescuer gets down on his knees and proposes to his partner as sirens sound in the background.

The clip was shared on Twitter by Anton Gerashchenko, whose bio says he is an adviser to Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs. In the caption, Mr. Gerashchenko wrote, “This is our life now – we joke about the “war-life balance”. This rescuer was saving people, now he’s proposing.
