Heat wave likely in parts of Rajasthan from Sunday

An official of the Meteorological Department said here that after some relief, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in some parts of Rajasthan from Sunday.

The Met Office said that from May 8, there is a possibility of heat wave in the districts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions and the maximum temperature in these areas is likely to be between 44 and 45 degrees Celsius.

It said that during the next two to three days, there is a possibility of relatively strong dusty winds and thunderstorms in the districts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions.

Light rain and thundershower occurred at some places in the state in the last 24 hours. The Meteorological Office said that the maximum temperature recorded in Barmer on Saturday was 43.6 degrees Celsius.
