Here’s what to expect from Tata Motors at 2023 Auto Expo: Altroz ​​EV, Harrier facelift and more – Times of India

15th edition of the biennial auto Expo was held in February 2020, while the 16th edition of the show was postponed to January 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Automotive/Motor Show is the largest platform in India for all the major manufacturers in the country to showcase their upcoming products as well as futuristic concepts and technologies, and in the meantime, measure the response of the public.
Being one of the largest car manufacturers in India, Bye Motors are expected to be dazzling 2023 Auto Expo With a range of upcoming cars and SUVs. Here is a list of some of the products that we believe Tata Motors will showcase at the Auto Expo next year –

Altroz ​​EV
Tata Motors currently has 3 fully electric cars in its line-up which includes the recently launched Tiago EV, Tigor EV and Nexon EV. However, a quarter is set to join the lot soon. First showcased at the last edition of the Auto Expo, the Tata Altroz ​​EV is expected to be launched at next year’s auto show.

The Altroz ​​EV will be based on the same ALFA platform as the Nexon EV, however, it will likely come equipped with a slightly smaller battery pack. In the range of around 350 – 400 km, the Altroz ​​EV will be slotted between the Tigor EV and the Nexon EV in the carmaker’s portfolio. Price wise too, it is expected to sit between these two Tata electric cars.
Harrier Facelift
when Tata Harrier Already received a mid-life facelift at the 2020 Auto Expo, the changes were of course minimal except for the new and more powerful Kryotec engine. However, Tata is now working on introducing yet another update to the Harrier – prototypes of which have already been spotted testing in the recent past.

The 2023 Harrier is expected to retain its overall styling, however, it will feature some visual enhancements like new alloy wheels, a redesigned grille, updated headlamps and tail lamps etc. We expect a lot of new equipment to be on offer, like a bigger infotainment screen, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera and even ADAS features like Lane-Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency braking etc.
Shapely Concept
The Tata Curvv concept was launched in April this year in the country based on an entirely new EV platform. The coupe-style concept is also based on Tata’s new design philosophy called ‘less is more’ – which could be host to all the upcoming Tata EVs. We expect Tata to showcase the Curve concept in a slightly more production-ready form at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Tata had also revealed that the Curve concept would result in a fully electric vehicle first, followed by an ICE variant later. The EV could have a range of around 400 – 500 km, however, this is yet to be confirmed. What’s more, the Tata Curve is actually capable of charging other electric vehicles!
Avinya concept
The Avinya concept was showcased by Tata Motors in April based on its GEN 3 architecture – the production-ready version of which will start in 2025. Tata claims that the Avinya concept will offer a minimum range of 500 km, which will be available in this. Only 30 minutes of charging.

Tata says that the Avinya concept “combines the essence of a premium hatch to the luxury and versatility of an SUV and the spaciousness and functionality of an MPV”. The EV concept sports a futuristic design, with an elaborate LED DRL setup in the shape of a ‘T’. At the rear, there’s a sleek LED strip running the width of the car, which also acts as the tail light(s).
