Hero Electric joins hands with Turtle Mobility in the last mile delivery segment

Hero Electric, India’s leading electric two-wheeler company, has partnered with Turtle Mobility, a start-up to offer last-mile delivery solutions for e-commerce and grocery companies. As part of the partnership, Hero Electric has provided Turtle Mobility 200 electric scooters by the end of 2021, and 1,000 more electric scooters to be made available by the end of 2022. Hero Electric has partnered with several business-to-business (B2B) starts. To supply electric scooters to address the challenges of the segment, the company said in a statement. The partnership with Turtle Mobility is the latest such collaboration.

Speaking further on the association, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said, “At Hero, we continuously strive to accelerate the pace of transition to electric mobility and create B2B partnerships to strengthen the EV ecosystem across India. This partnership is another step to fuel the booming logistics and delivery industry and further our commitment to carbon-free mobility by electrifying the segment. Hero’s electric two-wheelers are flexible, are modular and versatile, offering longer mileage and lower cost of ownership. It further addresses the consumer needs of last-mile delivery provided by Turtle Mobility.”

Hero Electric has been associated with Turtle Mobility since July 2021 and has delivered 100 Hero Nyx electric scooters. Hero Electric is India’s largest electric two-wheeler company and has been providing sustainable travel and commuting solutions for the last 14 years. Currently, Hero Electric has over 700 sales and service outlets across India, and plans to convert 35 per cent of sales from the B2B segment over the next four years.
