Hero MotoCorp has launched yet another COVID-19 relief program in Uttarakhand, and this time in Haridwar a unique assistance program has been announced for 60 COVID-19 affected families. Under Hero MotoCorp’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform “Hero WeCare”, the company announced several welfare measures to support children who have lost one or both of their parents or guardians and Women lost their life partner in Kovid-19 district. Initiating the program, Haridwar Additional District Magistrate Bir Singh Budhiyal said, “We are extremely grateful to Hero MotoCorp for taking the lead in supporting our efforts towards providing exceptional community services in the state of Uttarakhand. Through the efforts, and commitment of corporates like Hero MotoCorp, we have been able to overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative will help them to get the necessary training and develop their entrepreneurial skills to get better livelihood, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the communities. In Haridwar, Hero MotoCorp has partnered with Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram to strengthen its healthcare system with a 122-bedded COVID-19 hospital. The company has also started a project under which 10,000 doses of vaccines will be given to people in Haridwar in a phased manner. Hero MotoCorp is partnering with the local health department in another similar immunization drive to facilitate vaccination of specially-abled people in the district.
