Hero Motocorp All set to launch its first electric scooter under its new EV brand Vida Tomorrow, i.e. 7th September 2022. VIDA is a new all-electric brand under Hero MotoCorp with a new logo and identity. The new and upcoming Vida electric scooter will boast of swappable battery technology and the company says that it will come with a range of best-in-class features.
Vida EV will get a swappable battery pack, comes from the strategic partnership of Hero MotoCorp gogoro, is a Taiwanese company specializing in swappable battery technology. Hero MotoCorp also has a partnership with Ather Energy which may offer its charging network and devices. “You can now charge your electric scooter at home, in parking lots and at our public charging stations,” Hero MotoCorp said in a recent tweet.

The electric scooter has been teased several times on social media, when the company also revealed that it has been tested for scooter parts and 1,006 prototypes of scooters, saying that the tests covered a total of 2 lakh km. . Several genuine parts and prototypes tested at Hero MotoCorp’s R&D centre, Center of Innovation and Technology (CIT), Jaipur, are housed in a glass case for public viewing in Gurugram.
The company also says that it took 25,000 hours to develop the new electric scooter. The new Vida scooter will be against choice Bajaj Chetak, TVS iCube and Ather 450X, which is priced under Rs 1 lakh. It is expected to be a high-speed scooter with a top speed of over 50 km/h and a range of around 100+.
