All three joined BJP in the presence of BJP President JP Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur in New Delhi. With this, AAP has suffered a major setback in the state where it intends to contest assembly elections on all 68 seats this time.
Anurag Thakur has posted this through social media post declaring that the people of the mountain and the mountain will not fall into the trap of Arvind Kejriwal. He further wrote that AAP’s Himachal Pradesh President Anup Kesari, General Secretary (Organisation) Satish Thakur and Una President Iqbal Singh have joined BJP against AAP’s anti-Himachal policies. He said that in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, all AAP seats have forfeited their deposits and Himachal Pradesh is also ready to repeat the same.
JP Nadda will reach Shimla shortly to begin his four-day tour of Himachal Pradesh and hold a roadshow in Shimla on Saturday to kick-start the party’s campaign for the Shimla Municipal Corporation elections and assembly elections.
After a massive victory in Punjab, AAP is now eyeing Himachal Pradesh and has announced to contest all 68 assembly seats. AAP has already announced that it is facing the BJP. But the party does not yet have a mass leader from Himachal Pradesh and is heavily dependent on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Last month, AAP had appointed Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jai as election in-charge of Himachal Pradesh while Satendra Tongar was appointed as the organization secretary. A total team of eight members was appointed to oversee the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.
