Dogra Scouts of Indian Army rescued 205 people in Himachal Pradesh. After snowfall, they were stranded on the Kinnaur-Kaza highway and most of them were tourists. The army provided them shelter and food in the camps. The Border Roads Organization (BRO) is clearing snow from Sumdo to Kaza. Even though the road was open, it was still dangerous to drive. Kaza SDM said that the Kaza-Sumdo road was blocked overnight at several places, bringing traffic to a standstill. Despite warnings, a large number of tourists are still trying to reach the higher reaches. Administration at various places is requesting tourists not to take risks for a few days.
