Hindus must unite in fight against jihadi forces, says Sharan Pumpwell

The secretary of Vishva Hindu Parishad, Mangaluru department, Sharan Pumpwell said here on Sunday that Hindus should not be divided on the basis of caste and they should unite in their fight against the forces involved in love jihad, cow slaughter, murders and other attacks on the community. Speaking at the function organized on the 20th anniversary of VHP Kotara unit, Mr. Pumpwell said that efforts are being made to divide the Hindu community on the basis of caste. “We should not fall into this and should not be divided. When there is any harm to Hindus, we should stand together and fight.

Love jihad, he said, was happening in an organized manner in Dakshina Kannada. “I support the recent statement of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel asking people to take action against love jihad and not to worry too much about development works,” he said. Hindus were being targeted by Love Jihad and Land Jihad. Innocent people like Prashant Pujari, Sharath Madiwala and Praveen Netru have been murdered. “We (Hindus) need not only development but also security,” he said.

Earlier, Mangaluru City North MLA Y. Bharat Shetty said that he and Mangaluru City South MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath will not seek votes from those who work against the country.
