History sheeter seriously injured in gang attack

A history-sheeter sustained serious injuries in his legs after he was murdered by a gang in his neighborhood near Attukal on Wednesday morning. The injured person has been identified as Sarat (27). The accused have been identified as Sivan, Biju, Hari and a few others all residents of Padasseri. According to the Fort police, they were attacked in retaliation for damaging Sivan’s autorickshaw. Sarath and Sivan, who live in the same neighbourhood, have had a few run-ins in the past. Sarath allegedly damaged Sivan’s autorickshaw at around 5.30 am on Wednesday. He later came back to the area and threatened Sivan and his friends. Thereafter, Sivan gathered other people from the area and attacked Sarath in a marshy area near Attukal parking ground at around 9 a.m. Sarath sustained serious injuries on both his legs and was admitted to Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. Got it done The fort police is on the lookout for the accused, who are all absconding. According to the police, the victim of the attack, Sarath, is an accused in several cases registered in Karamna, Qila and Nemom. He was banned from entering Thiruvananthapuram city for one year in 2020 under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) (KAPA) Act.
