Apart from the special arrangements, the stadium aims to provide a classic match experience for all the fans visiting the venue.

The Odisha government has made special arrangements to make the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela easily accessible for differently-abled spectators so that they can experience hockey in real time. World Cup without any inconvenience.

The stadium was completed in just fifteen months, while the World Cup Village was completed in just nine months. To make arrangements more efficient, special emphasis has been placed on the construction of a ramp leading to the lift, which takes individual fans to the floor with access to the stands on the first level.

“A disabled person can enter the stadium from any gate. We have made it universally accessible to them. Around 100 seats have been allotted for them in the stadium,” said Vineel Krishna, Odisha Play Secretary.

Apart from the special arrangements, the stadium aims to provide a classic match experience for all the fans visiting the venue.

The gallery seating is designed in such a way that there will be no vision blocks for fans regardless of where they are seated. The stadium is divided into two tiers – the lower bowl and the upper bowl.
