Home Minister Shah’s flight was diverted from Agartala due to Amit Hare.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s flight did not land at Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram airport on Wednesday night due to fog and low visibility. His flight was diverted to Assam. ATC sources said the aircraft was diverted to Gopinath Borodoi International Airport in Guwahati, where it was grounded. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Tripura on Wednesday night.

Enclosed is that Amit Shah is scheduled to participate in several programs in Tripura. BJP leaders said Shah is likely to first visit Dharmanagar in north Tripura, about 190 km from state capital Agartala, where he will flag off the first Rath Yatra. Later, he will visit Sabroom, South Photographers near Bangladesh border to flag off the second Rath Yatra. After this the Union Home Minister will leave from Tripura. However, the reason behind the change in the schedule of his visit is not known.

Manik Saha along with Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushant Chowdhary visited Dharmanagar and Sabroom on Monday to take stock of the preparations for the party’s massive rally ahead of the state assembly elections. Assembly elections are due in Tripura in February. Party leaders said several public meetings and rallies have been planned as part of the two Rath Yatras. BJP national president JP Nadda is likely to be present on January 12, the concluding day of the programme.
