Home quarantine advice to pilgrims returning from Tamil Nadu

The Shivamogga district administration has directed a group of pilgrims who returned from Tamil Nadu on the morning of January 5 to be in home quarantine for seven days.

The pilgrims reached Shivamogga by KSRTC buses.

District Health Officer Dr Rajesh Surgihalli told media persons that 25 buses carrying the pilgrims reached Shivamogga at around 6.15 am, Health and Family Welfare Department staff screened the passengers for symptoms of COVID-19 infection and advised home quarantine.

Hundreds of people visited the Om Shakti Temple in Melmaruvathur, Tamil Nadu. He started his journey on 31st December.
