How Haryana’s Ayush Yadav Cracked UPSC On Second Attempt With AIR 430 – News18

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination carves new success stories each year. Among the many success stories, one is that of the Haryana cadre IPS officer Ayush Yadav. He is a resident of Thatwadi village near Narnaul, Haryana, and comes from a middle-class family. His father died when Ayush was just 8 years old. He had a government job and used to work at BSNL. After the demise of his father, his mother continued working at his position.

Ayush Yadav was always good in his studies. He decided to pursue engineering for his higher studies. Through hard work and determination, he secured admission to the prestigious engineering college National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana. He obtained his engineering degree in Electronics Communication from this college. Ayush Yadav was clear about his goal. He wanted to become a civil servant. Hence, he started preparing for the Civil Services Examination after graduating from college.

In 2019, he cleared the State Service Examination (SSC) of the Haryana Public Service Commission ( HPSC) on his very first attempt. He got posted in the Excise and Taxation Department of Haryana. However, this didn’t match his aspirations of being an IPS officer. After doing service for some time, he began his preparation for UPSC CSE.

In 2020, he cleared the UPSC CSE exam. He secured an All India 550 Rank. He was awarded with the position of DANICS officer. This post deals with the administration of the Union Territories of India. This post is similar to the IAS officer but Ayush Yadav wanted to become an IPS officer. He decided to leave the position and attempt for the IPS position in CSE 2021.

The following year witnessed his true determination and hard work. He secured an AIR of 430 in the exam. He was granted the position of IPS officer. He is currently serving in the Haryana Cadre.
