How officials decide JEE Main cut-off percentile, know the process

The cut-off percentile for general category in JEE Main 2022 was announced by NTA at 88.41%.

Every year, National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main entrance exam for BE and B.Tech courses. Students appearing for JEE Main 2023 exam on 15th April 2023 can download their admit cards from the official website. The Joint Entrance Examination 2023 will be conducted in two shifts- first shift from 9 am to noon and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The results date is not yet announced by the exam authorities.

In 2022, NTA has predicted 88.41% cut-off percentage for general category, 67% for economically weaker sections, 63.11% for other backward classes, 43% for scheduled castes and 26.7% for scheduled tribes in JEE Main. declare. This year JEE Main 2023 experts and coaching institutes are of the opinion that the percentile declared for general category may be between 88-91% and for economically weaker sections it will be 65-70%. According to experts it would be 67-72% for OBC, 44-47% for SC and 34-37% for ST.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Pattern

Section A of the Joint Entrance Examination will consist of 60 MCQs while Section B will consist of 30 questions which must be answered in numerical value. The exam will consist of negative marking for both Section A and Section B.

2023 JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Guwahati this year. To be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, a person must secure the required cut-off of JEE Main. Registration for JEE Advanced 2023 will start on 30 April. The registration deadline for the exam is May 7. Only those who are ranked in the top 2,50,000 in JEE Main 2023 will be allowed to apply for JEE Advanced 2023. JEE Advanced exam will be conducted on June 4, 2023.
