Laxman Savadi announced the live return on Wednesday. His decision came after the list released by the party high command on Tuesday regarding the elections. In this list, the party refused to give him a ticket. Because of this judgment of the party, lying down, he severed ties with the BJP itself. According to sources, Congress may stake claim in Savadi elections.

“9 to 10 MLAs in contact with us”

D Shivakumar of Congress said that there is no condition. They feel that they have been insulted. It is our duty to bring such big leaders into the Congress party. There are more than 9 or 10 sitting MLAs who we want but we don’t have the space. Savadi is a powerful Lingayat leader and was the second most influential BJP leader from the community in Karnataka after former MP BS Yeddyurappa.

Savadi, 63, is a three-time MLA. After returning from the party on Wednesday, he said that this decision is a tough decision. However, he did not say frankly whether he is in touch with the Congress or not.

Savadi said with resignation that I have taken my decision. I am also not one to go around with a bowl of ka. I am a proud politician. I am not working under anyone’s influence.
